Rare Hand litho Daybill Poster.Rancho Notorious is a 1952 American Western film directed by Fritz Lang and starring Marlene Dietrich as the matron of a criminal hideout called Chuck-a-Luck. Arthur Kennedy and Mel Ferrer play rivals for her attention in this tale of frontier revenge. It also stars George Reeves who would later go on to play Superman. The film was originally titled Chuck-a-Luck, with “The Legend of Chuck-a-Luck” as the title song, but the name was changed at the insistence of Howard Hughes, then head of RKO Pictures.

Comments: Striking artwork of a classic poster. The imperfections mentioned below could be addressed via the linen backing process. Also note that this poster has full-bleed borders on the left and right and has NOT been trimmed. This was done by RKO with their daybills in the 1940s and early 1950s.
Country Of Origin: Australia - First Release Hand Litho.
Poster Size: 13" x 29 3/4" or 33 x 76 cm
Folds and Creases: Folded twice as issued to cinemas but it has been stored flat thus the poster will be sent rolled.Border creasing is evident.
Pin Holes: None
Tape Marks: None
Edge Wear / Stains: Edgewear is present along borders, particularly at the top righthand border. - see scan. A small holein the poster is present where the 'O' in RKO appears at the bottom right.
Poster Condition: Good
